MOSH ALL YOU BEASTS AND FURIOUS HOUNDS OF HELL !

I guess you thought we´ve already split up as a band coz lack of updates at the BlogHound and My Space site, huh ?! No such luck, ha ha.

Fact is that we have been busy hounds and working our asses of getting some new tunes together, rehearsals and BOOKED OUR ASSES INTO A STUDIO SESSION !

Next weekend starting Saturday we will record the drums for four to six songs at the BHS (BloodHoundStudio) in Ropsten, sthlm.
And the weekend after that the guitars will be recorded at the KMP Studio in Bromma and weekend after that the bass will be recorded at the same location.

However, all of the vocals and lyrics not not yet been written so the vocal recording will not take place until may or June so you have to wait a bit longer for the finishing product to come out... sorry.
The Bassplayer have started working on some awesome classic heavy metal lyrics, real epic and cool stuff I must add. One of the songs will be called ABYSMALL and the song is 8 min 30 sec long.
I´ll let "The Bassplayer" tell ya all about the cool story of the song... so stay tuned.

BUT there are now TWO new rip offs up on our My space (1 min 30 sec samples).
One goes under the work title: SAXONRIP
and the other under work title ACCEPTRIP.

Check´em out and stay metal, aight.

WE SUCKED BIG TIME

Yeah, it´s true.
The latest rehearsal sucked big time.
If we continue at this rate to get it tight it´s going

to take ages.

Well... The only thing we can do... CONTIUE !

FHF was not born for failure, we where not set to
this earth to quit.
We shall carry that Heavy Metal flag to the top of
the iceberg and show the world what metal is all about, hahaha.

Until next time... stay metal.

FILTH HOUND ANTHEM ON IT´S WAY !

Yepp...the riffs keeps on coming.
Every traditional Heavy Metal band needs to have
their anthem for the fans to go crazy to.

A song with a chorus that is almost TOO easy
remembering. Classic anthems such as
Run to the hills” and “Running free” by the Maidens,
United” and “Living after midnight” by the Priests or
Balls to the wall” by Accept are just what we need.

We all end up hating the song because it´s been played
over and over again at parties, dance floors and radio.
We aim to write a song people sing along to at shows but
really hate it deep inside. When you listen to an whole album…
THAT is the song you skip because you´ve heard it
too many times already.
That’s the song I´m working on right now.

And like everything else we do there is no originality to it.
Very “Acceptish” and very basic it is.

Onesingalongsong coming through.

Check our My Space on Monday afternoon for a sample of it.
And if you missed our latest work in progress the “JUDASRIP”…
check it out as well.

Metal, what is it made of?

"A semi-scientific deconstruction of lyrical content in Heavy Metal"

What about the lyrics? Yeah Metal music is cool and all but instrumental music is not, so obviously we need lyrics.

There are several ways to go about creating lyrical content. Either you have something to say about something you love/hate or you have a story to tell. Or you could just chain cool sounding words together 'cause let's face it, who looks to metal songs for guidance anyway (apart from all those suicidal teenagers...?).

I've decided to study these few landmark albums to see what they consist of. Maybe it will be of some use.
The number of the Beast
Screaming for vengeance
Wheels of steel
Holy Diver
Iron fist

The result is as follows*:

  1. Violence (11 songs; Invaders, Screaming For Vengeance, Machine Gun etc.)
  2. Sex (10 songs; 22 Acacia Avenue, Pain And Pleasure, Sex And Outrage etc.)
  3. Defiance (8 songs, The Prisoner, Stand Up And Be Counted, Stand Up And Shout etc.)
  4. Nonsense (7 songs; 747, Rainbow In The Dark, America etc.)
  5. Velocity (5 songs; Riding On The Wind, Wheels Of Steel, Speedfreak etc.)
  6. Religion/occult (5 songs; Children Of The Damned, The Number Of The Beast, Holy Diver etc.)

So there you have it. We're gonna be writing songs about Sex and Violence. What a surprise!!

(Taking the lead as the bands most pretentious intellectual...)

*The songs are the ones listed by Gracenote.com, not counting bonus material.

Ok... hmmm... no rehearsal today... crap.
We have however booked, Monday, Wednesday
and Sunday to shred some riffs.
Last week “Dirty Denn” was sick so we had to
cancel and today “The Bassplayer” had gotten a cold…
My head are bursting with riffs and I NEEEED
to get them out in a loud volume.
Maybe this band is about to break up before we
even started. Ha-ha, that would be weird.

Well, we´ll see who shows up tomorrow.

Peace… stay New Waved of Brithish Heavy Metalized.
“The Leadguitarist”

Oh… forgot to tell you, We had over 40 "plays" in one day at
http://www.myspace.com/filthhoundfour yesterday and so far
Over 20 today. Awesome.
That’s cool…. For a band that just have begun.

SUCK BIG TIME !!!
Ok freaks.
When you start a band you got to have guidelines,

or you can have NONE, but then again that’s a
guideline as well.

We in FHF have chosen to have strict guidelines.
We ARE a heavy metal band,
we do not compromise or
explore.
We do not want to create something new and
revolutionary. However. Most of the bands out there
trying to rip of the big ass bands such as Priest,
Maiden and so on SUCK BIG TIME !!!

There is no f***n energy to them.
Lame ass riffs, lame ass vocals without attitude and
a drummer who hit those cans like a friggin jazz drummer.
Ok… maybe we wont make it taking back that energy
that the heroes had back in the days but we sure as hell
are gonna make it our mission to capture the soul and
the “spitting fire attitude” those bands once had.

NEW F*****N SONG UP AT MY SPACE
Yesterday I worked on a song with a Judas Priest feel to it.
We started working on it at rehearsal last week with some
ideas “The Bassplayer” had.
Cool ideas but a little bit TOO much Motörheadripoff
sounding too it.
I don’t want the band to go too much into that sound coz
its not metal enough to it, ha-ha.
(suck on that candy you fn Bassplayer)
However I DO want to capture the Motörhead energy
they had in the 70s and 80s and ad that to our rip off songs.

So. Plans are to rehearse tomorrow if Dirty Denn have gotten
well from his illness earlier this week.
Hope so, coz we do have to get this show
rollin and get it tight as a virgins ass… coz right now we
sound like some retarded beginners with a brain disease,
and we all know that that’s not a good
quality for five musicians who have played their instruments
for ages, right ?!?!

So, here we are. Five Swedish, inhuman assholes...
five real bastards of humanity...
four hounds of hell and their master in command.
They have named us:

And this is the
ULTIMATE BEHIND THE SCENES BLOG.
We dare you to follow this blog and see what happens when
five old-school metal heads decides to form a band.
What happens when five complete assholes starts a band and are
forced to work together ???

In the band we have:
"THE SINGER"
who hates people but LOVES to be the center of attention on stage
but rarely shows up at rehearsals. A bit of a diva but with a fine set of lungs
that blows your head clear of. The dude is like a fuckin´ canon I tell you.

"THE LEADGUITARIST"
An egocentric prick. Used to get what he wants and how he wants it.
Have big issues with compromising the work and often stomps on broken feet.
A real asshole without knowing about it so to speak.

"THE RHYTHMGUITARIST"
who don’t say too much coz who knows what it will lead to.
He is, by the way, the only single guy in the band and likes the bottle a bit too much…
and who knows what THAT might lead to.
For you who don’t know we will show you sometime.

"THE BASSPLAYER"
one of the two driving forces in the band.
A creative soul which of coz has ideas that surly will NOT add
up with “The Leadguitarists” ideas and goals for the band.
If it all goes to hell… this is the guy to blame… him or “The Leadguitarist”.
Probably both of them.

"DIRTY DENN"
the classic Heavy Metal drummer. This guy is a blast I tell you.
"Dirty Denn". Tired most of the time, whiney when he haven't had anything
to eat for the last two hours. Changes his clothes once every two weeks
but one hell of a kick ass drumming bulldozer.
The only one in this friggin´ band with a real name, by the way.
The blog will be updated on a weekly basis by:
“The Leadguitarist” & “The Bassplayer”

Now… f**k of till next time / The Leadguitarist

PS. This band is about the music, right. so.... listen to some "work in progress" material at our MySpace. http://www.myspace.com/filthhoundfour
